This Is Not A Compromise

Last night I read of this "deal" offered by Senator Reid. It is no deal at all. They basically say, "OK, we are filibustering 10. We'll let two by if you appoint some liberal we like, but that's it."

Team Hammer response?

Pound sand.

The Washinton Post also hints at a compromise.

See above response.

What?? A compromise? No way! We've got bigger fish to fry coming up...like getting rid of that "majority" who found the right to kill children in the constitution! There is no way Frist, DeLay, and the boys are going to back down now is there? I got more faith in Mitch than that. I mean...come on! This thing needs to be brought to a head right now.
I'm gratified to see exactly who it is that is seeking the "compromise". That must mean they understand their situation. It's like 'hey...we're gonna get ours kicked, might as well get something out of it."

    As far as Schumer's comments

"But on other issues, what we are going to try to do is utilize the Senate rules to start focusing on issues that we think matter to the American people, whether it's gas prices or education or health care."

STILL doesn't get it does he?
