Desecration - A Little Perspective

After seeing some lefties claim that Koran flushing was some sort of human rights violation, I fortunately ran across this perspective. A snippet:

Desecration? Don’t talk to me about desecration. You people eat desecration for breakfast on your corn flakes. You use your mosques and holy sites as munitions dumps, you use then as sniper nests. So what’s a little water on a copy of your holy text?

  • The Koran desecration was already known, the Newsweek story was only a couple of lines in sidebar. The reason why this is such a big deal is the White House and all the conservative bloggers have made a huge deal over the fact that the Newsweek source got a detail wrong.

This is really a story of how the right wing is trying to discredit the media.

And why do those on the right keep acting as if we should use terrorists as the example of what is acceptable behavior? We on the left think the US should be the good guys. You on the right seem to think we ARE the good guys simply because we are us, regardless of any other details, and all that matters is... what? Victory? Power?

Everything this country does is a reflection of all of us.
