You know how those NRA types always say that if guns are banned, then only criminals will have guns?

I heard a song once, by Chris Rock of all people, that said: "Dont go to parties with metal detectors. Sure you feel safe while you're inside, but what about all those [guys] outside waiting who know you aint got a gun?"
Muggers, robbers and bullies are cowards. They always have been, since the 3rd grade. When there is even a chance that you'll fight back, they want none of it. I have 3 defining 'fights' in my lifetime that set this particular issue in concrete for me. I won't go into the war stories, but again and again, when someone stands up to them, their mean front crumbles and they run.
Read Tolkien. Read C.S. Lewis. This is not new data. This is exactly why the issue with Kim Jong Il irritates me to no end. One billionaire bully, 64 'royal, loyal' families and 19 million starving slaves. And your outspoken 'tolerants' in the US want to 'compromise' with him. Flippin' brilliant!
